Tips:

  1. Make sure you have the capital to sustain you for a minimum of 6 months without money from receivables.
  2. Know your target audience and who you are trying to sell to and make sure you have a product/service that is needed
  3. Have a good business plan, you will need it for loans, investors, partners, etc.
  4. Make sure you have signed purchase orders, contracts or agreements before you do any service or work.
  5. Make sure you enjoy what you are planning on doing, this will help you through the tough times.
  6. Last but not least watch your overhead costs. Keep your costs down.
