My Take on Keeping Great Customers Coming Back:
- For any business, but particularly food businesses, it boils down to quality, Hands down. Sometimes mediocre or even average service at business can be overlooked when people enjoy the quality of food or product you are providing. If your food or product is great, you will be successful.
- Consistency in serving a quality product is key. Nothing is more irritating than going to a restaurant or to a store that you had a great first experience with, only to have a completely different and non-enjoyable experience upon returning. It is important for customers to be satisfied every time.
- Value. What are you providing your customers for the price you are charging? There is nothing more attractive than a great product than it being a great value as well. Usually, when you have a great product it is inversely related to your pricing. At Smart Cookie, we provide great quality products at a great value and our customers love it every time they come back.
- Cleanliness, atmosphere, and aesthetics are so important. It is key to create an enjoyable and inviting atmosphere where customers can come to relax and be satisfied. The appeal of your establishment should make them want to come back. I would say that some customers repeatedly go back for business because of the appeal of the interior of somewhere and not necessarily for the quality of the service they received.
- Service, service, service. It is so important to be sincere and to be courteous and make your customers feel like they are being taken care of when they come and spend their money on the quality product you are selling.
